We just returned from a mid-week Disneyland trip. It began just over a week ago when I was scrapbooking with a friend and she told me that she had never been to Disneyland. I surprised her by saying, "Let's go next week!" And that's what we did. We planned to take her 3 kids (9 and 1 1/2 year old twins) along with my girls. We were only 30 minutes into driving on Monday morning when Rachel, one of the twins, had thrown up in the car twice. Through talking with her husband they decided to have him come and take the twins home. So, 3 hours later and with two less kids, we were off to Disneyland.
We had a wonderful time playing tour guide to Michelle and Cody. I was even not feeling well on Tuesday morning and stayed at the hotel with Emily, so Michelle and Cody had 3 year old Megan as their tour guide.
Our two highlights of the trip were when Megan was chosen to be a Jedi Trainee in a show and fought Darth Vader. At first she told the helpers that she was scared and didn't want to fight Darth Vader, but ended up being brave and did a great job. We also continue to love the character breakfasts where the Disney characters come right to your breakfast table to talk, sign autograph books, and interact with you. Megan has so many autographs from previous trips that she love to show a character their picture and autograph in her book if she already has it.
It was tough to pull everyone away from Disneyland. We had a wonderful time.
